The Forbes Advocate has been
chronicling life in Forbes since 1911.
Originally printed on site, the newspaper is now printed in Dubbo, a Rural Press printing
site that is used to publish many of the region's newspapers.
The Forbes Advocate has been proud to be there for the big events in the history of the
town -- in recent times this has included the announcement of Forbes as Australia's
tidiest town, the visit from Prince Charles, the floods of the early 1990's, the first
staging of the World Flatlands Hang Gliding Championships and the National Polocrosse
Titles.
The Forbes Advocate is proud to be a pro-active part of the community. Staff members live
and work in Forbes and have strong ties to the community.
