ENTERTAINMENT:
Clubs and Hotels feature live bands and discos, dances which prove very popular for all ages. The Forbes Jazz Festival is a popular week of entertainment in early January while throughout the year country and western musters, old time / new vogue dances are staged. Over the last few years the town has staged a very successful Eisteddfod in June, attracting over 1350 competitors.

The Conservatorium of Music hosts many musical evenings and provides excellent artists to entertain on a regular basis.
Many events are staged throughout the year with Australia Day always being popular consisting of a community breakfast, family swim, street parade (attracting over 100 floats ) and a community party where the naming of the previous years citizen of the year takes place.
